Join Herbalist and Ancestral Consultant, Stephanie Layne of Thistle Bee Tea Co., for a new series in 2024 - Welcome to Regenerating Roots! Stephanie helps others explore plant medicine, develop their own intuitive ancestral skills, and live a more nature-centric way of life. ​ Do you crave connection to the earth and to the ones who came before you? Do you want to learn how to grow and make food & medicine from scratch with the seasons? Is self-sustainability becoming more and more important to you? Join the 2024 Regenerating Roots Series! In this series, you will learn how to plan your garden, sow your seeds, care for seedlings, harvest your crop, and make medicine with the seasons. By working with the earth and calling in the knowledge of our ancestors, we will regenerate your roots. This course will guide you this season from sowing your first seeds, to drying techniques, to storing properly, and creating folk medicine with plants. Stephanie will be here to guide and teach along the way. If you are longing for a stronger connection to the Earth, deeper relationship with your ancestors, or feel a need to light a fire in your spirit -- this is the course for you. Step on the path and begin to regenerate your own roots in 2024! All classes are on Saturdays from 11:30-1:30; monthly March - August. You will be 'making & taking' a project from each class. Class One (03/16) - Session 1: Sowing the Seeds Let's bring you closer to your ancestors through plant medicine. Learn how to plan & plant the garden. To build the foundation that will support your physical, mental, and spiritual health for years to come. Covers the following: The "why" behind growing your own food and plant medicine; Garden Planning; Optimal Materials; Sowing & Growing. Class Two (04/20) - Seedling care, Hardening-off process, sourcing & storing seedlings, garden preparation Class Three & Four (06/29) - Garden care, pruning plants, staking methods, importance of crop rotation Class Five (07/13) - Herb Harvesting, drying plant material (air dehydrator), proper storage methods Class Six (08/16) - Harvest, processing, & recipes best practices medicine making
